This is the first, self-published catalogue of Phumlani Ntuli’s work. It serves as a personal archive around his artistic practice, focusing on three major exhibitions that took place between 2021 and 2022. The first exhibition, A Navigation Guide to Kwangingetshe was a solo show that took place at the Bag Factory Artist Studios in Johannesburg. The second, Into the Light, was a group show that took place as part of th 59th Venice Biennale, curated by Amé Bell. The final exhibition highlighted in this book is Isidleke Sakhiwa Ngezinwele, which was shown at Galería Nueva in Madrid after his residency at Atelier Solar.
Included in this books are various essays by Amé Bell, Ruzy Rusike and Sofía Steinvorth which offer insight and context into Ntuli’s work.
