Stanford Creative Works (SCW) at the VIVA Art Festival in Botrivier

The VIVA township art festival has come to Botrivier on Freedom Day 27th of April.  The VIVA team invited us to participate in their first VIVA art festival in the Botrivier community.  The festival took place at the primary school and our SCW team spent the morning offering creative workshops for the children attending the festival activities.

As you can see below, activities included creating masks, a very relevant aesthetic with regards Africa’s rich history of mask-making that influenced artists such as Pablo Picasso and Ernst Kirchner.

Lots of fun activities and a talent show was on offer. Thank you to VIVA for a wonderful day and a great collaboration with SCW.
