In 1973 at the age of 6, Justin Fox went on a Great Expedition / Tour of Europe with his parents – from Cape Town to London, Paris, Munich, Vienna, Rome, Athens and the Greek Islands. This is his story of the magic of travel, the experience of other places and peoples – all of which has made him one of today’s great travel writers. Justin Fox is a travel writer, novelist and photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa. He is a former editor at large of Getaway travel magazine and editor of Getaway International magazine. He was a Rhodes Scholar and received a doctorate in English literature from Oxford University after which he was a research fellow at the University of Cape Town.
